Program Overview
Introduction to the Grau Obert Program
The Grau Obert program is an innovative model that allows students to personalize their studies and take courses from different degrees at the UPF during three (extendable to four) trimesters. In the third (or fourth) trimester, the student chooses the degree in which they want to obtain the official degree (excluding inter-university degrees and those of centers attached to the UPF).
Program Details
- Duration: Four academic courses (between the first course of the program and the destination degree); in some cases, four courses plus one or two trimesters, depending on the personal itinerary.
- Price: Orientative price of the registration fee.
- Places: 30
- Admissions: How to access these studies.
- Branch of knowledge: Art and Humanities, Health Sciences, Social and Legal Sciences, Engineering and Architecture.
- Schedules: Morning and afternoon (depending on the chosen subjects).
- Calendar: From September to June
- Credits: 240 (between the first course of the program and the chosen destination degree)
- Languages: Catalan, Spanish, and English (depending on the subject)
- Location: Ciutadella campus, Poblenou campus, and Mar campus

The Grau Obert program promotes an innovative model that allows students to personalize their studies and take courses from different degrees at the UPF during three (extendable to four) trimesters. Throughout the course, the student has an assigned academic tutor who accompanies and guides them in choosing subjects from the areas of knowledge that interest them, as well as in choosing the degree they will obtain.

Study Plan
Students in the Grau Obert program can choose subjects from the first year of the studies that participate in the program and exceptionally subjects from the second year.
