Introduction
The Master's in Research and Innovation in Communication is a one-year program that offers advanced training in communication research, characterized by a strong social commitment, a transformative vocation, and a marked innovative focus. The program is multidisciplinary and includes a wide range of subjects to adapt to the interests and needs of each participant.

Access and Admission
The master's program is aimed at all graduates interested in innovation and research in communication. It is also aimed at those interested in obtaining prospective visions of communication from other disciplines, such as humanities, sociology, psychology, anthropology, or communication technologies.
Structure and Study Plan
The master's degree is obtained by passing a minimum of 60 ECTS credits, distributed as follows:
- 30 ECTS credits of compulsory subjects
- 15 ECTS credits of elective subjects
- 15 ECTS credits of the Final Master's Project

Professional Outcomes
This master's program trains its participants to work in the extensive field of communication and its latest trends, both in research, teaching, and transfer in the academic university environment, as well as in professional profiles that can be incorporated into private or public companies - or that are already part of them - as well as in the development of innovative projects of their own. Some professional outcomes are:
- Analyst with the ability to design projects in the areas of audiovisual creation and diffusion, advertising, and public relations; also in journalistic companies.
- Researcher in research centers, public organizations, or foundations.
- Specialist in media analysis, digital content, and social networks.
- Consultant in communication agencies, media, and companies in the sector that develop effective strategies based on evidence.
- Expert in the field of new trends, innovation, and prospecting in the communication sector in companies of different types.
- University professor with a research profile in the area of social sciences, communication, and emerging media.
- Preparation to be admitted to doctoral programs, both from the Department of Communication at UPF and from other national or international universities in related areas or disciplines.
- Analyst and consultant in communication in areas of intercultural plurality, in specialized agencies in health or in the role of young people as indicators of trends.
- Participation in Think Tanks to inform public opinion and decision-makers.
