Program Overview

The program "Desenvolupa el teu perfil plurilingüe" allows students to learn up to six different languages throughout an academic year. For the current course, Japanese and Russian are offered in the first trimester (October-December), Korean and Arabic in the second trimester (January-March), and Portuguese and Chinese in the third trimester (April-June). Students can earn up to 12 ECTS credits (if studying 4 languages) throughout the academic year, which will be recognized in the UPF Minor in Plurilingualism.

Course Details

• Course Name: Japanese
• Duration and Modality: 30 hours of face-to-face classes (combined with 45 hours of autonomous work, totaling 75 hours of teaching and learning)
• Target Audience: Open to the UPF community and the general public from 16 years old
• Group Size: Minimum 15 - Maximum 25 students
• Calendar: October-December
• Start Date: October 21, 2025
• Last Day to Enroll: October 27, 2025
• Credits for UPF Students: 3 ECTS RAC credits and 3 credits for the Minor in Plurilingualism for each trimestral course passed
• UPF Certificate: Upon passing the course, students will receive a UPF certificate with the achieved MECR level by email, approximately two weeks after completing the course

  • Level A1: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 16:30-18:30 h, Poblenou Campus

Price

• Standard Price: 270 € (no discounts available)
• Conditions:
  • The course price includes teaching, materials, and resources available in the Aula Global of the course, and the UPF course certificate
  • Idiomes UPF reserves the right to cancel any course that does not reach the minimum number of students required (15). In this case, the total amount of the course will be returned

PARLA3 Aid: 350 € for undergraduate students / 600 € for scholarship holders

• If you are an undergraduate student, you can apply for the PARLA3 Aid and the course will be free
• Information:
  • If you are an undergraduate student at a Catalan university, you can recover 350 € by passing a language course of any level through the PARLA3 Aid
  • If you are an undergraduate student at a Catalan university and a scholarship holder, you do not have to pay the course price thanks to the PARLA Aid for scholarship holders

Students can earn up to 12 ECTS credits (if studying 4 languages) throughout the academic year, which will be recognized in the UPF Minor in Plurilingualism.
