Program Structure
The Acreditació d’alemany program consists of a certification exam known as the Prova Certificadora de Competència Lingüística (PCCL). This exam is designed and administered by the UPF's language program and assesses the candidate's linguistic competence in German.
Exam Details
- Exam Duration: Approximately 3 hours
- Exam Sections: Grammar and vocabulary, written comprehension, written expression, and oral expression

Convocatòries PCCL
The PCCL exam is offered on several dates throughout the academic year. Each convocation has specific dates for registration, the exam, publication of results, revision of the exam, and certificate issuance.
Convocation Details
- Registration Period: Opens until one week before the exam date
- Number of Candidates: Minimum 3, maximum 25 per convocation
- Location: Campus Ciutadella
- Calendar: 5 convocations during the academic year
- Credits for UPF Students: 6 ECTS RAC credits (following the current RAC regulations)
- Certificate: UPF certificate with the achieved MECR level
- PARLA3 Aid: Students who achieve level B2 or C1 in German, English, Italian, or French can apply for a €75 PARLA3 aid
Inscription and Fees
- Inscription: Candidates must select the code 1715 - PCCL D'ALEMANY, choose the language and date, and make the online payment with a card
- Fee: €75 (non-refundable under any circumstances)
Additional Information
- Adaptations for Students with Special Educational Needs: Candidates must inform the program at the time of registration if they require any adaptations for the exam
- Revisions and Certificates: Specific dates are allocated for the revision of the exam and the issuance of certificates for each convocation
