Program Structure

The program consists of three compulsory subjects and a Master's Thesis. It is recommended that students take the two methodological subjects, Critical History of Research Methodologies in Cinema and Audiovisual I and II, in the first year. There is no obligation to follow a specific itinerary with the optional subjects, but it is suggested that students choose subjects that have the most relation to the Master's Thesis they wish to carry out.

Research Areas

The professors of the Master's program are part of the CINEMA research group. The group's projects and members can be found on the group's website.

Important Information

  • No Second Call for Subjects: A subject that is "Suspended" or "Not Presented" must be re-enrolled (and paid with a surcharge) the following year.
  • Attendance Requirement: Students must attend at least 80% of the classes. Professors cannot evaluate students who do not attend classes.
  • Assignment of Tutors for the Master's Thesis: Students are asked to propose three professors or professors (in order of priority) who they consider most suitable to tutor their Master's Thesis. The program coordination will try to assign one of these three professors as the tutor. To know which professors could be the most suitable tutors, it is recommended to see the programs of the subjects and the CVs of the professors.
