Program Overview


Introduction to the Master's Program

The Master's Program in Asia-Pacific Studies in a Global Context offers specialized studies with a contemporary and interdisciplinary perspective. It provides integrated training in Asian fields, including economics, culture, international relations, and history, and is oriented towards both professional careers and research.


Program Structure

The program consists of 60 ECTS credits to be completed in one academic year. There is also the possibility of a formative stay at an Asian university, which requires enrollment in the part-time modality (two years) to participate in the mobility call. In the part-time modality, during the second year of the master's program, students will take the Master's Final Project (TFM).

Evaluation System

The evaluation system for the program includes continuous assessment of the student's work throughout the course, as well as a final project that must be defended before a panel of experts.


Professional Practices

Students have the opportunity to carry out professional practices in companies, institutions, or organizations related to the field of study.


Mobility

During the second year of the part-time program, students can participate in a formative stay at an Asian university, which is recognized as part of the master's program within the framework of exchange programs. This stay must be requested during the first year of the part-time program and is carried out during the second and third trimesters, with a value of 15 ECTS. The stay is formalized through a bilateral agreement between the Pompeu Fabra University and the destination university.
