Programme Structure

The European Politics and Society: Vaclav Havel Joint Master Programme is a two-year, full-time programme, consisting of four semesters and 120 ECTS. All classes are taught in English, and upon successful completion, graduates will receive a Joint Degree diploma.

Academic Year

• The first semester takes place in Prague, where students are introduced to key challenges.
• The second semester focuses on EU-related courses and is held in either Krakow or Leiden.
• During the second year of studies, the programme offers four different study tracks, each combining elective courses, research methods training, an internship, and language tuition with an advanced research dissertation supervised by key staff from each partner university.
  • Students can follow the second year in any of the four universities, depending on the track of their choice.
