Program Overview
Màster Universitari en Ciències Jurídiques Avançades
The Màster Universitari en Ciències Jurídiques Avançades is a master's program that is fully committed to the principle of equality in terms of gender. The program annually launches a call for the realization of final master's projects (TFMs) that directly address gender issues, either in themselves or in the chosen area of specialization.
Treball de Fi de Màster
The final master's project (TFM) is a critical component of the program. The program has published several TFMs in the field of gender, including:
- Vidal Saldías, Daniela (2024) "Criterios que justifican una aparente discriminación retributiva por razón de sexo: crítica feminista a la jurisprudencia y regulación de la Unión Europea"
Régimen Disciplinario
The program adheres to the Régimen Disciplinario de los estudiantes de la Universitat Pompeu Fabra, which outlines the rules and regulations for academic integrity. According to this regime, the following are considered serious offenses:
- Plagiarism
- Copying or facilitating the copying of answers or activities
- Lessening or exaggerating the contribution of a person in academic work
- Incorrect citation or lack of respect for intellectual property
The sanctions for serious offenses include:
- Temporary expulsion from the university (not exceeding four years or less than six months)
- Loss of the right to be evaluated in one or more subjects
- Loss of scholarships or other benefits granted by the university
Academic Integrity
In the Máster Avanzado en Ciencias Jurídicas, evident cases of plagiarism in assignments or exams will result in automatic failure and the inability to opt for recovery, without prejudice to other sanctions that may be adopted by the program coordination. Similar measures will be applied to the final master's project.
Quality Assurance
The program is committed to quality assurance and adheres to the Garantia de qualitat of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
