Program Overview
The M’Agrada Escriure: Curs d’Escriptura Creativa is a creative writing course designed to help participants explore the world of writing in a fun and engaging manner. Through a combination of theoretical reflections and practical exercises, students will learn to express themselves and develop their writing skills in various contexts and formats.
Objectives
- Learn to utilize writing as an expressive and communicative element in one’s artistic work.
- Understand and analyze literary texts with more effective resources.
- Identify the mechanisms of meaning production that are activated when writing.
- Gain firsthand knowledge of the dynamics of the publishing world and the working process of a writer.
Program Structure
- The tools of the literary workshop
- Personal writings: diaries, poetry
- Fiction: arguments, characters, and possible worlds
- Diction: voices, resonances, and styles
- Reading to write: creative plagiarism, rewriting
Requirements and Evaluation
Assistance is obligatory. The course will be considered completed based on attendance and the realization of individual exercises and writing projects, both individual and collective, as proposed by the professors in the various sessions.
Faculty
Manel Ollé is a professor at the Faculty of Humanities of the UPF, and a writer, critic, and translator. He is the author of the poetic collection Un grapat de pedres d'aigua (Labreu), winner of the Jocs Florals 2021 award, and the essay Plagia millor (Periscopi, 2022).
