The Programa FIDU: Introducció a la Docència Universitària - En línia is designed to introduce new faculty members to the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and initiate them in planning, developing teaching methodologies, and assessment. The program is free and leads to a certificate of completion that can be presented in accreditation processes.

Program Details

• Duration: 50 hours, online, asynchronous, from October to June
• Language: English and Catalan
• Objectives:
  • Acclimatize new faculty to UPF, informing them of services, units, and resources
  • Initiate faculty in planning, teaching methodologies, classroom communication, and assessment
  • Foster educational innovation in the university context
  • Offer a space for reflection on teaching practices
• Target Audience:
  • New faculty members, lecturers, and all faculty interested in improving their teaching strategies

Learning Outcomes

• Upon completion, faculty will be able to identify UPF services, units, resources, and the educational model and its relation to basic teaching competencies
• Faculty will be able to design teaching and learning processes integrating them coherently into the UPF model from an innovative perspective
• Faculty will be able to analyze their teaching practice to identify areas for improvement
