Program Overview
The Programa FIDU: Introducció a la Docència Universitària - Presencial is designed to introduce new faculty members to the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and initiate them in planning, developing teaching methodologies, and assessment. The program is free and leads to a certificate of completion that can be presented in accreditation processes.
Program Details
- Duration: 50 hours, presential, in Catalan and Spanish, from October 2025 to January 2026.
- Sessions: 11 sessions, held on Tuesdays or Thursdays, between 14:00 and 17:00.
- Language: Catalan and Spanish.
Target Audience
- New faculty members, lecturers, and all teaching staff who wish to improve their teaching strategies.
Objectives
- Introduce new faculty members to the UPF, informing them about the services, units, and resources available.
- Initiate faculty members in planning, developing teaching methodologies, communication in the classroom, and assessment.
- Foster the incorporation of educational innovation in the university context.
- Offer a space for reflection on teaching practices.
Learning Outcomes
- Upon completion, faculty members will be able to identify the services, units, resources, and educational model of the UPF and their relation to basic teaching competencies.
- Faculty members will be able to design teaching and learning processes, integrating them coherently into the UPF model from an innovative perspective.
- Faculty members will be able to analyze their own teaching practices to identify areas for improvement.

Assessment
- Respond to the self-assessment questionnaire of the online training module
- Design a Learning Plan for a subject and have it peer-reviewed
- Elaborate a digital portfolio
Certification
The program leads to a certificate of completion, which can be presented in accreditation processes. Additionally, the program is being processed for recognition as a microcredential, a digital certification that facilitates professional progress, employability, and personal enrichment.
