The program promotes the use of the scientific method in analyzing the relationships between economic, social, and demographic phenomena, with the ultimate goal of contributing to the advancement of the international scientific debate and designing economic and social policies that support social cohesion, equality, growth, and the well-being of today's population and future generations.
Educational Goals
The program aims to:
- Develop interdisciplinary research through a common and coordinated educational strategy among the consortium universities.
- Encourage comparative research following the outlined guidelines.
- Promote in the consortium member countries a Ph.D. culture similar to the Anglo-Saxon one, while preserving the specificities of local cultural traditions.
- Contribute to the design of economic and social policies aimed at improving social cohesion, intra and intergenerational equality, economic growth, and the well-being of the current and future populations.
