Program Overview
The School of Specialization in Historical-Artistic Heritage of the "Sapienza" University of Rome is the first to have been founded in Italy in 1901, on the initiative of Adolfo Venturi. The School was awarded the medal of merit for the School, Culture, and Art by the President of the Republic Oscar Luigi Scalfaro in 1998, following the service provided in the earthquake-affected areas of the Marche region. The School combines traditional teaching of historical-artistic disciplines with teachings, laboratories, stages, and internships aimed at strengthening knowledge and skills in the protection, conservation, valorization, and communication of cultural heritage. It also promotes collaboration with national and international institutions and museums with the aim of introducing students to professional practice.
