The integration of different subjects will contribute to increasing knowledge, training, and professional skills to develop technologically advanced and readily applicable treatment models, both in public and private structures.

Program Rationale

The program is based on the constant and continuous increase in subjects affected by bruxism, dysfunctions, painful pathologies of the stomatognathic district, and the cranio-cervico-mandibular district, musculoskeletal pain, headaches connected to the ATM, psychological and socio-behavioral disabilities, occlusal anomalies connected to all the aforementioned pathologies, as well as daytime and nighttime breathing, including obstructive sleep apnea syndromes. These pathological forms affect more than 10% of the adult and growing population, representing the second most common type of musculoskeletal pain conditions after chronic lumbago. Furthermore, they are often associated with comorbidities with the most common forms of headache, cervicalgia, tinnitus, balance and posture problems, as well as with other rare and/or systemic pathologies such as Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, arthrosis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and others.
