Educational Goals

The primary objective of the Master's program is to enable participants to acquire a deep understanding of structural design methods and infrastructure planning, following the Eurocodes framework. The program covers various construction types, including new techniques based on composite materials and the reinforcement of existing structures with FRP. Particular emphasis is placed on the theoretical framework, providing students with the necessary basis for understanding reliability, modeling, and structural analysis.

Program Structure

The program is structured to provide a comprehensive treatment of the Eurocodes, including geotechnical aspects. Each module focuses on a specific Eurocode, starting with a critical synthesis of the normative text and progressing to conceptual aspects and application exercises of increasing complexity. The program also includes a dedicated module on Eurocode 8, which addresses the design of structures in seismic zones and the evaluation and adaptation of existing constructions.
