Program Overview
Technical Professions for Construction and Land
Quality Assurance (QA)
The Quality Assurance (QA) system of Sapienza is described in detail on the Quality Team's web pages. The web pages outline the ten-year path developed by the University for the construction of the Sapienza Quality Assurance, the organizational model adopted, the QA actors (Quality Team, Monitoring Committees, Joint Teacher-Student Commissions, Course Quality Commissions), the active working groups, the main activities developed, and the documentation prepared for the management of quality assurance processes and activities in teaching, research, and the third mission.
Each Course of Study and each Department has the faculty to decline the Sapienza Quality Assurance model defined in the Quality Team's web pages in the QA of the Course of Study/Department, adapting it to its own organizational specificities while respecting the models and procedures defined by the ANVUR and the Quality Team. The Course of Study/Department web pages, together with the SUA-Teaching and SUA-Research sheets, represent the communication tools for the implementation of the Quality Assurance System at the Course of Study/Department level.
In relation to the Course of Study's ability to recognize critical aspects and margins for improvement in its teaching organization and to define consequent interventions, with specific reference to the contribution of teachers and students, the figures involved in the organization and management of quality within the Course of Study are:
- The President of the Course of Study Council
- The Secretary of the Course of Study Council
- The administrative staff supporting the Course of Study management activities
- The teaching commission composed of teachers of basic and characterizing subjects
- The Quality Management Commission (CGQ)
- The student representative(s)
The Course of Study Council organizes its activities with the contribution of the Course of Study teachers, administrative staff, and student representatives based on the above-mentioned tasks. Aspects related to teaching (revision of paths, coordination and integration between subjects, rationalization of timetables and distribution of the teaching load, temporal distribution of exams and support activities, etc.) are analyzed and discussed within the teaching commission and the Course of Study Council.
In these collegiate meetings, where problems and their causes are analyzed, teachers and students have the opportunity to report their observations and proposals for improvement, as evident from the examination of the Course of Study Council minutes. The annual report of the Joint Teacher-Student Commission (CPDS) is the subject of discussion within the Teaching Commission and the Quality Management Commission, to then be summarized in the Course of Study.
The Quality Management Commission meets periodically to examine the monitoring data provided by the University's Quality Team and to prepare the annual and cyclical monitoring sheets (formerly review reports) to be submitted for approval by the Course of Study Council, in time to respect the deadlines set by the University.
Consultation with Representative Organizations
The procedure for establishing the new Degree Course in Technical Professions for Construction and Land, class L-P01, involved the participation of interested parties outside the academic world to ensure that the training of graduates responds to a demand for training that expresses the broader needs of knowledge and skills expressed by society and the labor market.
In this case, the interactions and contacts had already been initiated on the occasion of the establishment of the Degree Course in Techniques for Construction and Land for the profession of surveyor, started from the academic year 2019/20, of which the newly established Degree Course in Technical Professions for Construction and Land constitutes the natural evolutionary implementation in consideration of the entry into force of the ministerial decree of August 12, 2020, n. 446.
Since it is a Degree Course aimed at preparing surveyors and industrial construction experts, as provided for in Annex L-P01 TECHNICAL PROFESSIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION AND LAND (letter j) of the ministerial decree n. 446/2020, the respective professional colleges were consulted, also in consideration of the compulsory internships that students attending the Degree Course will have to carry out.

The meeting also provided for an analysis of the results of the 2024 edition of the questionnaire that investigates the preparation of students, the founding competencies, the methodological approach, and the soft skills through the feedback of the organizations, companies, and institutions that hosted the students in internships.
