Transport Systems Engineering
Overview
The Transport Systems Engineering program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of transport systems engineering.
Quality Assurance (QA)
The Quality Assurance (QA) system of Sapienza University is described in detail on the Quality Team's web pages. The QA system is based on a decade-long process developed by the University for the construction of the Quality Assurance System. The system includes the organizational model adopted, the actors involved (Quality Team, Monitoring Committees, Joint Teacher-Student Commissions, Quality Commissions of the Courses of Study), the active working groups, the main activities developed, and the documentation prepared for the management of processes and quality assurance activities in teaching, research, and the third mission.
Organization and Responsibilities of the QA
The Commission for Quality Management (CGQ) is composed of the President of the Course of Study, other teachers, a technical-administrative staff member, and a student. The CGQ meets quarterly and at the end of each year for a comprehensive monitoring. The CGQ also meets to work on deadlines related to the SUA (University Self-Assessment) and whenever necessary, at the request of its members or students or teachers.
Consultation with Representative Organizations
The needs of the stakeholders were identified through the analysis of normative sources, studies, and research by Alma Laurea, the Order of Engineers, and Confindustria, as well as through direct consultations. The companies were consulted at the faculty level starting from 2006 through the "Diamoci Credito" agreement signed with national large enterprises, with the aim of contributing to the evaluation, design, and development of a training offer suitable for the needs of the world of work, integrating the training process, orienting students, and facilitating their entry into the world of work.
Consultation with Representative Organizations (Subsequent Consultations)
Representatives of organizations representing the world of production, services, and professions were consulted during two subsequent meetings held on May 6 and October 29, 2024, in online mode. The meetings aimed to analyze and discuss the training paths and objectives, also in reference to the needs and evolution of the world of work. The representatives received, well in advance, the illustrative material of the faculty's training offer and, at the same time, a questionnaire to acquire information on relevant aspects for the discussion.
Degree Programme Quality Assurance Documents
The quality assurance documents for the degree program are available on the Sapienza University website. The documents include the self-assessment report, the quality assurance system, and the monitoring and evaluation procedures.
