Program Overview
Environmental Engineering for Sustainable Development
Presentation
The degree in Environmental and Industrial Engineering is distinguished by its broad foundational training and the provision of methodological tools from the engineering sciences, enabling graduates to operate in the fields of Civil-Environmental Engineering. In reference to the qualifying general objectives, the degree aims to provide a university education capable of:
- managing and designing the rational and eco-compatible use of renewable and non-renewable components (solid, fluid, and energetic), social and cultural (landscape) aspects of the territory for resource production, land and subsoil use, and territorial protection and development.
The goal is to guarantee a solid foundational training, focused on technological applications rather than theoretical considerations, an engineering preparation with a broad spectrum, which, in addition to allowing for an easy transition to the various master's degrees present in the Civil-Environmental areas, outlines a professional competence aimed at solving engineering problems, designing structures, systems, components, and technologies. This includes the design and management of:
- the territory and its resources, also understood as primary and secondary materials;
- processes and plants for the transformation of environmental resources.
