Chemical Engineering Program
Overview
The Chemical Engineering program at Sapienza Università di Roma aims to introduce students to the physics of momentum, heat, and mass transport phenomena in chemical processes. The program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of chemical engineering principles, including transport phenomena, separation processes, and chemical plant design.

Educational Objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the physics of momentum, heat, and mass transport phenomena in chemical processes, both locally and macroscopically, highlighting the analogies between different transport phenomena. At the end of the course, students should be able to:
- identify and quantitatively describe the transport mechanisms present in a process
- be able to construct simple models based on heat, mass, and momentum balance equations and phenomenological expressions for diffusive fluxes and transport coefficients. The fundamental approach followed should enable students not only to address the problems typical of traditional chemical processes, but also to analyze transport phenomena occurring in diverse and innovative fields (biochemical and biomedical processes, energy transition, and environmental protection).
