Overview
The Archive and Library Theory and Management program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of archive and library management. - Catalogue: This component focuses on the organization and management of archival and library collections.
- Course: This component provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of archive and library management.
- Quality Assurance (QA): This component is designed to ensure that the program meets the highest standards of quality and excellence.
Quality Assurance

- Organization and responsibilities of the QA of the CdS
- Professor-Student Joint Committee
- Consultation with representative organizations
Organization and Responsibilities of the QA of the CdS
The organization and responsibilities of the QA of the CdS are as follows:
- The president of the course of study, prof.ssa Valentina Sestini, oversees all activities of the course and ensures that the teaching activities are carried out regularly.
- The Consiglio di corso di studio examines and approves the planning of the course and its teaching, the annual monitoring sheet, and the cyclical review report.
- The Commissione di Gestione dell'Assicurazione Qualità (CGAQ) of the course of study is responsible for the quality assurance system of the course. The CGAQ is composed of:
- prof.ssa Chiara Faggiolani (responsible for the CGAQ)
- prof.ssa Cristina Mantegna (teacher of the course of study)
- prof. Giovanni Michetti (teacher of the course of study)
- prof.ssa Valentina Sestini (president of the course of study)
- dott.ssa Silvia Sonego (referent for the teaching of the Department of Letters and Modern Cultures)
- sig. Alessio Cuvertino (student representative)

The Professor-Student Joint Committee is responsible for ensuring that the program meets the needs of both professors and students.
Consultation with Representative Organizations
The program has undergone several consultations with representative organizations, including:
- A meeting with the directors of the three central institutes (ICCU, ICCD, ICAR) of the Ministry of Culture (MiC)
- A meeting with the representatives of the two main professional organizations in the archival and library sector (ANAI and AIB)
- A meeting with the director of the School of Specialization in Archival and Library Heritage
These consultations have provided valuable feedback on the program and have helped to ensure that it meets the needs of the archival and library community.
