The Course of Studies in Art History offers a solid foundation in the history and criticism of ancient, medieval, modern, and contemporary art, as well as adequate knowledge in various sectors of Cultural Heritage. Graduates will be able to work as professionals in the field of Cultural Heritage in all institutions, companies, and organizations operating in the study, protection, enhancement, enjoyment of artistic and cultural heritage, as well as environmental recovery (ministries, superintendencies, museums, libraries, archives, film libraries, public and private galleries, foundations, and private companies).

Laboratorio di Scrittura Tesi

The degree course has activated, also for this year, the Laboratory for thesis writing, aimed at students from the second year onwards, to provide basic skills for tackling research and writing the final paper. The meetings will be 3 and will take place in both the first and second semesters, according to a calendar that will be published later. Participation in all three meetings and the production, at the end of the laboratory, of a brief text that will serve as an exercise and verification of the skills acquired, will give the right to 2 CFU valid for the internship.

Roma Racconta...

This year, the programming of the new edition of Roma Racconta... has been launched, a cycle of conferences curated by the Service Coordination Catalog and Educational Services of the Capitolina Superintendence of Cultural Heritage, which will begin in mid-November and conclude at the end of May 2026. For students of:

• Studies in Art History (three-year course) participation in the initiative can be validated for the assignment of CFU, in the following manner:
• 4 conferences attended in person + 1 report will be equivalent to 2 CFU
• 8 conferences in person + 2 reports will be equivalent to 4 CFU
• 12 conferences in person + 3 reports will be equivalent to 6 CFU The reports must be written as follows: 1 folder for (2 CFU - 4 conferences); 2 folders (4 CFU - 8 conferences); 3/4 folders (6 CFU - 12 conferences). One folder is equivalent to 2000 keystrokes.

The Fondazione Roma Sapienza has published the call for the year 2025, for the award of 11 scholarships entitled "IN UNAM SAPIENTIAM", financed by the Association of retired teachers, to be awarded to three-year students of the Sapienza. The application for participation in the competition must be completed by November 20, 2025.
