Overview
The Master's Degree in Gender Studies, Cultures and Policies for Media and Communication is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the complex relationships between gender, media, and communication. The QA group organizes periodic meetings to monitor and improve the quality of the degree course. The group's main activities include:

Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is composed of experts from the world of work, chosen for their ideal connection between the strategic plan of the teaching provided and the professional figures formed. The Committee's task is to discuss the update and revision of the educational programs in relation to the evolution of the world of professions.
Teaching Observatory
The Teaching Observatory has the same composition as the Joint Committee of Professors and Students. The Observatory acts as a permanent body for verification, analysis, and proposal within the degree course. Its key areas of intervention are:
- Continuous verification of the quality of teaching and organization
- Formulation of opinions and recommendations on didactic and curricular choices
- Contribution to the quality cycle (SUA-CdS, OPIS, Review)
Professor-Student Joint Committee
The Joint Committee of Professors and Students is composed of two professors and two students:
- Prof. Marcella Corsi (professor)
- Prof. Bianca Terracciano (professor)
- Giulia Barile (student representative)
- Gemma Gentile (student representative)
The Committee redacts the Annual Report and carries out continuous monitoring activities of the educational offer, the quality of teaching, and the service activities of professors and researchers.
Consultation with Representative Organizations
The Department of Communication and Social Research has initiated consultations with representative organizations and stakeholders interested in the educational objectives of the degree course. The consultations aimed to gather opinions on the overall structure of the educational program and on some proposals for modification of the curriculum.
The consultations involved various experts, including:
- The President of GiULia Giornaliste
- The founder and President of Women in Film, Television & Media Italia
- A member of the Board of Directors of the Authority for Guarantees in Communications
- A professor of Deontology of Journalism at the University of Seville
- A professor of Gender and Media Studies at the Autonomous University of Barcelona
The consultations also involved students enrolled in undergraduate courses at Sapienza University, as well as professionals with experience in public and private entities.
