The Master's Degree Programme in Editoria e scrittura is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in the fields of publishing, writing, and cultural communication. The program aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue careers in editing, writing, and cultural management.

Objectives

The program's objectives are to:

• Provide students with a solid foundation in the humanities, with a focus on literature, history, anthropology, and philosophy
• Offer students the opportunity to acquire skills in the world of book publishing, including courses on the history of publishing, book culture, and writing
• Equip students with the necessary competencies to work in the publishing industry, including redaction, editing, and writing for various media
• Foster critical thinking and reflection on the logics of language, cultural production, and communication
• Provide students with the ability to use new technologies and multimedia tools in the context of publishing and communication

Competences

The program aims to provide students with the following competences:

• Professional skills in editing and writing, including the use of new technologies and multimedia tools
• Methodological tools for social analysis and journalistic work
• Ability to write for various media, including new media
• Philosophical competences to stimulate critical reflection on language, cultural production, and communication
• Ability to create multimedia and hypertextual products
• Competences in the use of new communication technologies for managerial and organizational purposes
• In-depth knowledge of the information system in Italy and internationally
• Fluency in at least one European language, in addition to Italian, with reference to disciplinary lexicons

Curriculum

The program offers a multidisciplinary curriculum that allows students to personalize their study plan through the choice of specific formative activities. The curriculum includes:

• Courses on the history of publishing, book culture, and writing
• Courses on journalism, including investigative journalism, historical-antropological journalism, and cultural and literary journalism
• Courses on the organization and techniques of publishing, including multimedia publishing
• Internships and stages in public and private companies, journalistic publications, and publishing companies
• Study periods at Italian and foreign universities
