Program Overview


Dentistry and Dental Prosthodontics Program

The Dentistry and Dental Prosthodontics program offers various opportunities for international experiences, including study, research, and internships abroad.


International Experiences

  • Erasmus+ Program: Promotes transnational cooperation between higher education institutions, funding mobility for study purposes in all disciplines and levels of study, including doctoral programs.
    • Allows students to attend courses and pass exams with full recognition in their academic curriculum.
    • Enables students to conduct research for their thesis or doctoral degree.
  • Erasmus+ Traineeship: Allows students to undertake internships at companies, training centers, and research institutions in participating countries.
    • Recognized as an integral part of the study program.
    • Can be undertaken after graduation, provided the selection process occurs before the degree is awarded.
  • CIVIS European Alliance: A partnership between Sapienza and other European universities, offering shared study programs and contributing to the development of a European knowledge society.
    • Includes universities such as the Free University of Brussels, University of Tübingen, and Autonomous University of Madrid.
  • Overseas Program: Offers students the opportunity to study or conduct research at non-EU institutions with which Sapienza has bilateral agreements.
    • Provides a monthly contribution of €700 for the first five months and €500 thereafter.
    • Minimum stay of 90 days, maximum of two consecutive semesters.
  • Erasmus+ KA171 International Credit Mobility (ICM): Allows students and staff to undertake study or research periods in non-EU countries.
    • Includes a study grant and travel expenses.
    • Minimum duration of three months, maximum of six months (extendable to 12 months).
  • Thesis Abroad Scholarships: Available to students who have completed at least the first year of their master's degree program.
    • Allows students to conduct part of their thesis research abroad.
    • Minimum duration of two months.
    • Scholarship amount: €2,821.
  • Post-Laurea Scholarships for Perfection Abroad: Available to graduates who have completed their master's degree or equivalent.
    • Allows graduates to attend courses or perfection activities at foreign institutions.
    • Minimum duration of six months, maximum of 12 months.
    • Monthly scholarship amount: €1,290.

Program Activities

  • The Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry has established an Internationalization Commission, which promotes internationalization activities and provides support to students.
  • The Commission aims to increase the use of mobility opportunities for study and traineeships abroad.
  • The Faculty provides information and support to students undertaking internships and stages abroad.
  • The Faculty has a dedicated office for international mobility, which provides assistance with the Learning Agreement and recognition of credits acquired abroad.
