Program Overview
The Nursing and Midwifery Sciences program at Sapienza Università di Roma is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in the field of nursing and midwifery.
Quality Assurance (QA)
The Quality Assurance Commission of the Nursing and Midwifery Sciences program is composed of the Course President, additional faculty members, a representative of the technical-administrative staff, and one or more student representatives. The Commission plans and coordinates activities related to the objectives of the National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes (ANVUR). It evaluates the achievement of the objectives described in the review report and reports the results to the Presidency Office. The Commission also takes measures to encourage student participation in the collection of their opinions on the courses they attend.
Organization and Responsibilities of the QA Commission
The QA Commission has the following responsibilities:
- Guarantee that the quality of teaching is well-documented, verifiable, and evaluable
- Facilitate access to information, making it clearer and more understandable for students, families, and representatives of the workforce
- Foster a process of continuous improvement of the Course of Study
- Monitor the corrective actions proposed in the previous Review Report
- Evaluate the results of the adoption of these actions, highlighting the strengths that have emerged, any critical issues, and the changes deemed necessary
- Verify the adequacy and effectiveness of the management of the course of study
- Propose, where necessary, corrective actions to be introduced in the next Review Report
Consultation with Representative Organizations
Consultations with social parties took place in Chieti, at the headquarters of the Permanent Conference of the degree classes of the Health Professions (MIUR, Ministry of Health, representatives of the professions, the President of the Conference, the Presidents of the degree courses), on May 14 and 15, 2010. In the final meeting of the consultation at the University level on March 23, 2011, considering the results of the telematic consultation that preceded it, the organizations that participated expressed a favorable opinion.
Subsequent Consultations
With reference to the consultations for the degree courses of the LM-SNT/01 class, it is noted that on April 23, 2024, the meeting "Training and labor market: new didactic-training needs for the Degree Courses of the I class of health professions of Sapienza University of Rome 2024/2025" was held. During the meeting, the satisfaction and employment data of the graduates of the degree courses belonging to the three Medical faculties were presented, and the training offer was briefly illustrated. With reference to the data of the AlmaLaurea survey relating to the graduates of 2021, a high degree of employment and satisfaction was found. Finally, the need for the development of a greater territoriality with the introduction of figures able to carry out home activities and the need to define new tutoring paths for students directed towards new rehabilitation and home settings were discussed.

- On October 16, 2025, the ranking published on October 6, 2025, was reworked due to errors in the attribution of scores for some answers. The new ranking, published on October 16, 2025, with D.R. 2916, replaces the previous one. Those in a useful position in the ranking can enroll from October 17 to 22, 2025. After enrollments, if places remain available, the list of substitutions will be published by October 27, 2025.
