Biomedical Laboratory techniques REPLICA F - ASL RIETI
Program Overview
Program Overview
The Biomedical Laboratory techniques REPLICA F - ASL RIETI program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in biomedical laboratory techniques.
Objectives
The program has two main objectives:
- Area Propedeutica e Clinica: to provide students with a solid foundation in the physical, biochemical, and biological phenomena, as well as the methodological basis for analytical processes in various techniques of analysis.
- Area Applicativa e Professionalizzante: to equip students with the skills to select and manage analytical processes autonomously, apply laboratory safety and radioprotection principles, and organize biomedical laboratory activities within the healthcare system.
Curriculum
The program is structured into three years:
First Year
The first year is focused on providing students with basic knowledge in physics, chemistry, biochemistry, biology, computer science, and good laboratory practices. It also introduces students to the fundamentals of the professional discipline and prepares them for their first internship experience.
Second Year
The second year delves deeper into the knowledge of various sectors of biomedical laboratory techniques. Students will explore analytical methodologies in clinical biochemistry, clinical pathology, microbiology, virology, and clinical anatomy. They will also acquire knowledge in health promotion, workplace safety, radioprotection, management, and health law. Through internship activities, students will learn the practical and applied aspects of the knowledge acquired and develop the ability to perform the main analytical methodologies of reference in the laboratory.
Third Year
The third year is focused on advanced technologies in laboratory diagnostics, as well as procedures and regulations related to service quality. It will also cover important topics in bioethics, internal medicine, oncology, hematology, and first aid. Through internship activities, students will complete the acquisition of professional knowledge with a gradual assumption of autonomy and responsibility.
Assessment
The study plan includes a maximum of 20 exams and/or final profit evaluations, including internship exams for the first, second, and third years, organized as integrated exam tests for teachings or modules. The training path is structured, monitored, validated, and optimized continuously to achieve the training objectives.
