The primary educational objective of the course of study is to provide students with a solid foundation in the disciplines that define the sciences for data management, with statistics playing a central role.

The course aims to equip students with a solid base in statistical, probabilistic, mathematical, computer science, economic-quantitative, and operational research disciplines. The course structure includes:
- Mandatory teachings in statistical, probabilistic, mathematical, computer science, economic-quantitative, and operational research areas.
- Optional teachings that allow for in-depth study in areas of applied statistics, quantitative economics, and operational research.
- Other formative activities that complete the course, including English language, other knowledge for entering the workforce, and a final exam. Among the activities aimed at providing knowledge for professional insertion are laboratories oriented towards methodologies, applications, case studies, and the acquisition of transversal skills (soft skills).
