Educational Goals
The course aims to stimulate reflection on several key aspects of research ethics, including:
- Ethical issues involved in the design, implementation, and evaluation of scientific research
- Fundamental methodological elements for ethical research design
- Emerging themes in research ethics: dual use, artificial intelligence, environment, prototype systems, genetic and genomic data
- Ethico-legal principles involved in human research (reference regulations, privacy, consent to participate in research, involvement of minors, etc.)
- Analysis and design of study protocols admissible to the ethical evaluation of Territorial Ethics Committees (CET) and University Ethics Committees
Special Considerations
- A reduced quota of €600 is reserved for PhD students enrolled in a Sapienza University of Rome doctoral program.
- A reduced quota of €375 is reserved for TAB personnel of Sapienza University of Rome.
