Educational Goals
The course aims to provide participants with the necessary skills to analyze, survey, and digitally represent architectural structures and territorial areas. Through the integration of traditional methods and digital tools, participants will acquire the competencies needed to approach direct and digital surveying, computer modeling, and structural analysis for understanding historical architectures and territorial morphology.
Course Content
The course includes the introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS), cartography, remote sensing, and spatial data processing, with an interdisciplinary approach applied to urban and natural landscapes. Particular attention will be dedicated to the interpretation of structures in their environmental and historical context, with practical exercises and guided activities.
Expected Outcomes
At the end of the course, participants will be able to perform a first level of analysis of structures and territories, applying digital tools and historical-archaeological knowledge, and manage spatial and structural data using specialized software.
