Overview

The Bachelor of Computer Science (Cyber Security) program is designed to equip students with the theoretical foundations and practical approaches to computation and its applications. The program focuses on the identification and mitigation of malicious activities conducted by hackers through advanced analytical capabilities and techniques.

Program Details

• The program covers technical and political concepts of cyber security, such as blockchain, cryptocurrency, systems security, Internet of Things (IoT) security, obfuscation, and reverse engineering.
• Students will learn penetration testing skills for defensive purposes and be prepared for ethical hacking certification.
• The program includes a final-year capstone team project, where students develop solutions to real-world problems provided by industry partners.

Accreditation & Professional Recognition

The Bachelor of Computer Science is accredited by the Australian Computer Society as meeting requirements for membership at the "Professional Level".

Admissions Information

• Academic Entry Requirements: Applicants need to have achieved the required score in a qualification equivalent to the completion of 13 years of schooling in Australia.
• English Language Requirements: The following level of English is required to gain admission to this program:
  • IELTS Academic: 6.0 overall, with no band less than 6.0
  • TOEFL (Internet-based): 70 overall, with no band less than 18
• Workload: Full-time students can expect to commit around 48 hours of study per week.

Fees

• International Course fees: $20,184 (2025) per session
• Additional Fees: Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF)
