Overview
The Bachelor of Creative Arts - Bachelor of Communication and Media is a double degree that offers insight into how producers and consumers interact in a media-saturated world and connects hands-on creativity with critical reflection. Admissions Information
Academic Entry Requirements
Applicants must achieve the required score in a previous qualification, equivalent to completing at least 13 years of schooling in Australia. To succeed in the chosen course, students should have completed relevant subjects in senior high school or other qualifications.
English Language Requirements
The following level of English is required to gain admission to this program:
- IELTS Academic: Overall score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking.
- TOEFL (Internet-based): Overall score of 86, with a minimum of 18 in Reading, 18 in Writing, 17 in Listening, and 17 in Speaking.
- UOW College: English for Tertiary Studies: Credit (weighted average mark of 65 overall and minimum 50 in Academic Reading and Writing).
Workload
- Full-time students can expect to commit around 48 hours of study per week, including class time and independent study.
- Part-time study is available, but the duration of the course will be longer.
Credit for Prior Learning
If students have completed prior studies or relevant professional experience, they can request course credit or subject exemptions to reduce the duration and cost of their program.
