Overview
The Bachelor of Engineering Technology is for innovators and problem-solvers with an interest in developing in-demand skills across broad areas of engineering. Your degree will enable you to work alongside engineers on real-world projects in all engineering fields. You’ll learn valuable skills that will set you up for success in the industries of the future where your work can make a real impact.
You will study foundation subjects in mathematics and physics, combined with options in programming, electrical systems, sustainable design, materials selection and mechanics to develop the skills for a constantly evolving world.
Electronics (major)
Specialising in Electronics will enable you to play a vital role in developing newer and more efficient solutions in the field of electrical and electronic engineering. Building on a foundation of electrical, electronic systems and renewable energy generation you will be equipped for expanding existing technologies as well as improving electrical power distribution.
Your studies will develop your technical and analytical skills in designing and creating solutions to complex problems. You will have the opportunity to work on industry-led projects and contribute to innovation in areas that support modern society, including renewable energy technologies, reliable power supply and distribution, efficient electrical devices, enhanced digital technology and manufacturing.

- Academic Entry Requirements:
- Applicants need to have achieved the required score in a qualification equivalent to the completion of 13 years of schooling in Australia.
- To succeed in your chosen course, you should have completed relevant subjects in senior high school or other qualifications.
- English Language Requirements:
- The following level of English is required to gain admission to this program:
- IELTS Academic: 6.0 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in each band
- TOEFL (Internet-based): 79 overall, with a minimum of 18 in each band
- UOW College: English for Tertiary Studies: Pass (weighted average mark of 50 overall and minimum 50 in Academic Reading and Writing)

- Full-Time Study Load: As a full-time student, you can expect to commit around 48 hours of study per week.
- Credit for Prior Learning: If you have completed prior studies or relevant professional experience, you can request course credit or subject exemptions to reduce the duration and cost of your program.
