Diploma of Engineering (3 Sessions)

The Diploma of Engineering provides guaranteed* entry into the second year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at the University of Wollongong (UOW). This course is designed to equip students with the skills necessary to succeed in their UOW bachelor studies, covering core first-year engineering subjects that blend theoretical and practical components for hands-on experience in fundamental engineering areas. Students will explore various engineering disciplines, including maths and physics, and graduate with a Higher Education Diploma to enhance their employability while completing their bachelor's degree.

  • The Diploma of Engineering consists of three sessions, each lasting 14 weeks, and is offered by UOW College Australia.
  • UOW College offers three intakes each year, providing flexibility for students to start their studies at different times throughout the year.

Admissions Information

Entry Requirements

  • Minimum ATAR 55 or equivalent
  • Assumed knowledge and recommended studies: Year 12 HSC Mathematics Advanced (any result) OR Year 12 HSC Mathematics Standard 2 > 80%
  • English Language Requirements: Overall IELTS Academic score of 5.5 with 5.0 in Reading and Writing or equivalent
