Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting is an introductory course that provides a general understanding of accounting and related areas in business, including accounting, finance, economics, and business law.

Entry Requirements

  • A recognised bachelor’s degree,
  • OR
  • A tertiary academic qualification with a duration of at least three years’ full-time equivalent.
  • Note: Applicants with three years’ full-time equivalent managerial or professional work experience in accounting will also be considered.

Workload

  • Full-Time Study Load: As a full-time student, you can expect to commit around 48 hours of study per week. This includes class time and independent study.

Credit for Prior Learning

Upon completion of the Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting, those who enrol in the Master in Professional Accounting will be eligible for credit for the 4 subjects completed within the Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting. Progression to other Masters programs may also be possible with some credit, including 12 credit points towards the MBA.
