The Master of Philosophy within the Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health provides the opportunity for students to pursue independent research in the following disciplines:

Admissions Information

Entry Requirements

• An Honours degree with 2nd Class Division 2 or higher,
• A coursework master’s degree with an equivalent average mark of 60+ or a GPA of 2.8 out of 4.
• Candidates with a coursework master’s degree or a 4-year Bachelor Honours degree in the same discipline may be granted up to 24 credit points of advanced standing for the coursework component of the Master of Philosophy.

Workload

• Full-Time Study Load: As a full-time student, you can expect to commit around 48 hours of study per week. This includes class time and independent study.
