Introduction to the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (B.S.A.) - Animal Science Program

The Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (B.S.A.) - Animal Science program is offered by the University of Saskatchewan's College of Agriculture and Bioresources. This four-year degree program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of animal science, including the feeding, breeding, and management of domestic animals.


Program Overview

The program focuses on innovative solutions to meet the challenges posed by a growing world population with changing patterns of diet, a finite amount of farmland, and changing climatic conditions. Students will study biotechnology, genetics, computer modeling, nutrition, animal behavior and welfare, sustainable production systems and management, pasture management, and forage production.
