Computer Science
The Master's Degree Programme in Computer Science is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of computer science and empower them to start an international career within areas such as optimisation, artificial intelligence, expert systems, cryptology, machine learning, statistics and data mining in many different industries, for example software development, robotics, medicine or finance.
About the Programme
With internationally awarded and acknowledged research groups at the forefront of computer science, the University of Southern Denmark offers one of the most veritable, versatile and dynamic academic environments to provide an education programme. The programme provides students with the option to specialise in either algorithms, cybersecurity and cloud computing, or data science and artificial intelligence.
Programme Structure
The Master's Degree Programme in Computer Science contains a high level of abstract thinking and theoretical research, as well as applied sessions with coding exercises, often connected to real-life projects from partner companies.

New Master’s Degree Opportunities from 2028
As of the 2028 intake, students will be able to study the programme at SDU as a 1-year or 2-year master’s degree, or as a master’s degree for working professionals.
