Master in Mechanical Engineering

The Master in Mechanical Engineering (MEM) at the University of Coimbra aims to train professionals with high technical and scientific qualifications, as well as high standards of professional, social, and ethical responsibility. General Objectives of the Course

The academic background of the Mechanical Engineer Master at the University of Coimbra prepares students for design and manufacture of parts and machines in general using conventional techniques or emerging techniques. The program also focuses on development actions in the energy and environmental area, production management, equipment maintenance, and entrepreneurship in related industrial areas.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the Master in Mechanical Engineering, candidates must have a first cycle in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial and Management Engineering, or a related area. Alternatively, they can present a learning, scientific, or professional curriculum that the organic unit of study cycle recognizes as appropriate to complete this 2nd cycle of studies.
