The Training Course: 2D2E_FEUC - Discover Discuss Teach Economics - Portugal in numbers and figures is a non-degree course offered by the University of Coimbra. The course aims to contribute to a greater economic literacy of the Portuguese people by promoting the update of economic knowledge among secondary school teachers of economics.

• Regular: 5 to 6.4
• Good: 6.5 to 7.9
• Very good: 8 to 8.9
• Excellent: 9 to 10 Students who do not have a final grade of 5 will not be certified.

Learning Objectives and Intended Skills

The course has the following learning objectives and intended skills:

1. To analyze topics from the five modules of the course applied to Portugal through numbers and figures
2. To improve knowledge about several databases that include economic indicators relevant to the analysis of macroeconomic phenomena
3. To select the most appropriate economic indicators suited to the quantitative description of a given economic topic
4. To build a database
5. To decide the kind of analysis to be implemented
6. To choose the most suitable languages: numbers presented in tables and the type of tables or figures and the type of figures or even a mix for the written presentation of the topic
