General Objectives of the Course

  • Acquiring a solid knowledge of the history of philosophical thought and a broad understanding of contemporary debates in philosophy
  • Mastering terminology, concepts, and methods used in the analysis of issues, modes of argumentation, and interpretation in different fields of philosophy and human praxis
  • Developing the ability to use different kinds of information sources (bibliographic sources, databases, etc.)
  • Cultivating the ability to express oneself and interact, putting oneself in the other's place and using pertinent and persuasive strategies of communication
  • Applying acquired knowledge to clarify and solve problems outside the scope of one's own knowledge
  • Promoting access to (post)graduate studies
