The Bachelor's Degree in Psychology is a 3-year program that aims to provide students with a comprehensive education in psychology, covering various subfields and promoting critical thinking, research, and professional skills.
General Objectives of the Course
- Provide theoretical training based on fundamental skills, methods, techniques, and cross-competencies in psychology.
- Promote reflection and critical analysis in psychology and related areas.
- Foster interdisciplinary knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for professional functions.
- Develop the requisite skills and conditions for a second-cycle degree in psychology.
- Foster training for second-cycle studies in other fields of knowledge or research.
Admission Requirements
- National Call for Access and Entry to Higher Education (DGES): Two of the following subjects are required: Biology and Geology, Philosophy, Applied Mathematics Social Sciences, or Portuguese.
- Application score: 100 points (0-200 scale).
- Entry exams: 100 points (0-200 scale).
- Calculation Formula: Secondary school average (50%) and entry exams (50%).
- Other forms of access include change of institution/course pair schemes, special access call for over 23-year-olds, special access call for holders of other higher education courses, and special call for international students.

Recognition of Prior Learning
The University of Coimbra credits previous studies or professional experience, with a view to pursuing studies to obtain an academic degree or diploma, according to the legal regime defined by DL 74/2006.

Graduation Requirements
The degree is granted to those who, by passing all course units that constitute the study cycle, have obtained 180 ECTS.
Access to Further Studies
By granting the degree of licensee, this course allows access to second-cycle studies, master degrees.
