The evaluation of student learning is an intrinsic pedagogical activity to teaching. It aims to recognize the competencies and knowledge acquired by students, their critical spirit, the ability to enunciate and solve problems, and the ability of communication/ expression written and oral. Specific evaluation rules are established for each curricular unit, according to the academic regulation of the UC and with the Evaluation Rules of the FPCEUC, being the final classification a whole number of values between 0 and 20. A final classification, in a curricular unit, equal or superior to 10 values confers approval to the same. Examples of evaluation tasks include written or oral exams, tests, written or practical work, individual or group, case study, reports, projects, which may have to be defended orally, participation in classes. The evaluation of each curricular unit may include one or more of the evaluation elements indicated above. Whenever the evaluation of a curricular unit comprises more than one evaluation element, the final grade is calculated from the classifications obtained in each evaluation element, through a formula made public through the annual curricular unit sheet, under the terms of no. 2 of article 7 of the RPUC).
