General Objectives of the Course

The course aims to:

• Develop skills for identifying and validating social opportunities
• Stimulate entrepreneurial and creative capabilities for sustainable problem-solving based on identified social opportunities
• Provide trainees with tools and methodologies to support the creation and management of project(s)
• Prepare trainees to create and communicate value propositions and sustainable project concepts

Admission Requirements

The following can apply to the Non-Degree Course:

• UC students interested in the topics covered in the course
• Secondary school students interested in the topics covered in the course
• Other participants who express interest in course topics, as long as they are approved by the course coordination

Learning Objectives and Intended Skills

The course aims to develop the following skills:

• Teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment
• Identify market/societal gaps and validate needs with users/clients
• Value proposition and solution concept development towards mitigation of the needs
• Validate concept using a non-functional prototype
• Communication and pitching skills
