Learning Objectives and Intended Skills
At the end of the course, students should be able to:
- Understand the most advanced techniques that can be used in research in aquatic ecology.
- Know the basic principles, equipment, and material needed and how to use these techniques.
The course intends to help students acquire:
- Instrumental skills, such as analysis and synthesis, organization and planning, oral and written communication, use of computer tools in the scope of bibliographic search and meta-analysis, management of information, decision-making ability, and problem-solving.
- Personal and interpersonal skills, such as skills in group work and in interdisciplinary teamwork, critical thinking, and understanding of specialists’ language.
- Systemic skills, such as skills in autonomous learning, searching, practical application of theoretical knowledge, planning, self-criticism, and self-assessment. The course also aims to promote creativity, rigor, and quality.
