Nonprofit and Strategic Philanthropy Management Certificate (Graduate)

Overview

The Nonprofit and Strategic Philanthropy Management Certificate (Graduate) is designed to prepare students for leadership and management roles in nonprofit and philanthropic organizations. This graduate-level "stackable" certificate program is part of the Public Administration program at the School of Professional Advancement (SoPA). Students who complete this certificate can take an additional eight courses, including seven required courses, to earn the full Master of Public Administration degree.


Requirements

To complete the Nonprofit and Strategic Philanthropy Management Certificate (Graduate), students must choose four courses from the following list:


  • MPAD 7200: Nonprofits, Philanthropy, and the Civic Sector (3 credits)
  • MPAD 7210: Evaluation and Outcomes Management (3 credits)
  • MPAD 7220: Organizational Sustainability, Leadership, and Governance (3 credits)
  • MPAD 7230: Financial Management, Resource Development, and Capacity Building (3 credits)
  • MPAD 7240: Foundations of Strategic Philanthropy (3 credits) Total Credit Hours: 15
