Program Overview
The integrated Franco-German History programme is a selective, bi-national degree that prepares students for two national diplomas: the French Licence d’Histoire and the German Bachelor of Arts in History. This programme allows students to spend two thirds of their bachelor's degree in one of the best-ranked German universities in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
Language of Instruction
The language of instruction is 100% French at Université Paris Cité and 100% German at Bielefeld University, with possibilities for acquiring a third language.

The programme is full-time and lasts for 3 years.

Entry Requirements
To be eligible for the programme, applicants must have a French Baccalaureate or an international equivalent. Additionally, applicants may be required to take an interview and/or a German language test.

Course Overview
The programme provides students with an in-depth knowledge of history, covering various periods and areas, including ancient, medieval, modern, and contemporary history. Students also develop high-level language skills and can choose courses from other departments such as language, sociology, philosophy, political sciences, economics, and education. The programme includes personalized tutoring and intensive language courses.

Programme Structure
The programme is designed for students to stay together as a cohort for the entire duration, with no entry points in the second or third year. The first two years are spent at Bielefeld University, and the third year is spent at Université Paris Cité. Students benefit from a comprehensive education that includes a wide range of historical topics and the development of language skills in French and German.
