Specialization and Courses at Paris Cité
You must mention in your JDEAS application the area of specialization you are considering, since in September, once registered, you will be asked to choose a research topic and a research supervisor for your dissertation. The areas of research and potential directors are listed.
It is recommended to contact a potential director in June, once your JDEAS application has been accepted. Don’t forget to explain that you are enrolling in the Joint Master (cursus intégré en études anglaises et américaines), and not in another of our Master’s pathways (art and visual culture – history and civilization – linguistics – literature – first modernities).
The instructions for writing a thesis in M1 and M2 vary depending on the specialization chosen. JDEAS students will follow joint seminars with students from the other Master’s pathways (art and visual culture – history and civilization – linguistics – literature).
List of Master’s pathways:
- Art and visual culture
- History and civilization
- Linguistics
- Literature
- First modernities
