Program Overview
Advanced Topics in Health Economic Evaluation Methods
The Advanced Topics in Health Economic Evaluation Methods course is a 7.5-credit course that delves into the intricacies of decision modeling in health economic evaluation. This course is designed for students who have a background in health sciences, environmental health, or social sciences, and have completed the Health Economic Evaluation Methods course.
Course Description
In the main part of the course, decision modeling is explained, discussed, and practiced. Decision modeling is becoming increasingly popular in health economic evaluation as it allows for the gathering of information from many sources and tracking the course of a disease over a relatively long time perspective, taking into account the uncertainty of estimates used. The course explores different modeling techniques, and students are given the opportunity to set up and run their own models.
