English, Master's (one-year) Degree Assignment in Literature

The English, Master's (one-year) Degree Assignment in Literature is a 15-credit course that involves an independent investigation of a specific subject of study in English literature. The assignment is presented in English in the form of an essay of about 12,000 words, using generally accepted research principles for content, formatting, and layout. The course also includes giving feedback on other students' essays, with the subject choice made in consultation with the supervisor.

Eligibility

• To be eligible for the course, students must have completed 90 ECTS in English at the first cycle, of which at least 15 ECTS consist of an independent scientific project, and 30 ECTS in English at an advanced level, of which at least 15 ECTS consist of courses in literary theory and methodology, or equivalent.
• All 120 ECTS must be completed to be admitted to the course.
