The program "French, Nordic Noir as Global Literary Phenomenon" is a 7.5-credit course offered at Umeå University.

This course examines the popular literary phenomenon of Nordic Noir from an international perspective. The course literature contains works within the genre written by authors located within and outside 'the North,' which will be examined both as a place and an idea. The course consists of a shorter introductory module conducted in English, followed by a specialization module conducted in French.
